As part of their work on the theme Tremors, Year 3 looked at how artists have painted volcanoes and using photographs of erupting volcanoes they created their own volcanic landscapes.

They learnt how to mix a wide variety of colours from a limited powder paint palette of red, blue, yellow plus black and white and learnt about background, mid-ground and foreground creating stunning works of art.
